| Frequently asked questions |
How does Licensing work?
A site license enables you to install Cyres software on any number of PC’s.
How do you support your systems?
We provide telephone and email support during office hours. Should your system have a bug that we cannot fix remotely we will arrange to come on site. See our support page for more details.
What happens if we identify a bug?
We will fix this as soon as possible. Our support page will explain how we allocate priorities to all support calls received.
How often are upgrade released?
We release an upgrade at least once every year. We guarantee to include any changes to statutory reports within such upgrades. Other content is determined by users.
How are upgrades issued?
All Cyres systems have the facility to check online to see if there is a later version available. If there is then your system will download and install the upgrade online. However, if firewalls or security settings prevent this then we can ship upgrades on CD.
Why do the figures in Cyres not look correct?
Cyres will import data from your existing Pathology or Colposcopy system. Data will be mapped to the standard Cyres back end database based on a brief from yourselves. If figures are not correct within Cyres then we have either misunderstood or the brief is incomplete. Either way it should be easy to investigate the problem by drilling down to check the underlying data and we will then correct it.
How do I get the Cyres data importer changed?
Call us and explain what needs changing and we will update it and re-issue it.
Will Cyres charge for making changes to my data importer?
In most cases we will make changes free of charge as we appreciate that getting data accurately mapped can be quite an involved basis.
What happens on the day of installation?
We will arrange to install Cyres on a date when IT and yourselves are available. We will need administrative rights to the PC’s on which Cyres is to be installed for half an hour or so. Thereafter we will need to check the accuracy of the data mapping by running reports so we will need access to someone who is familiar with your data. We will then train users.
Why has my system started to slow down?
There are a lot of reasons as to why systems run slowly - some of which we can do something about; some of which we can’t. If you are having problems do not suffer in silence though - call us.
Do you offer on site help?
We have engineers and support staff visiting client sites all the time. Call us if you would like a visit.
How can we get a new report included in the system?
We are delighted when users identify the need for a new report - the more useful our systems become the longer they are likely to last so they need to evolve to meet your changing needs. Our Cytology product has doubled in size since its release as a result of requests from users. And new reports are almost always included in the upgrades i.e. the cost is covered as part of the support fee.
How long does training take?
Training varies slightly from product to product but it never takes more than an hour or two.
How can I get some more training?
We provide on-site training by arrangement. Call us for more details. There are also training videos on line and step-by-step user manuals available. In many regions we also hold regular User Groups which address training issues.
How much do your systems cost?
This will depend on which system and which region you are in. For details of all costs call us.
How much does support cost?
Again this will depend on which system and which region you are in. For more details please call us.
Are there ever hidden or additional costs?
We will always quote up front for any work that is chargeable so you will be quite clear what costs will be involved.
Is it possible to merge our data with another hospital?
This is a question we are being asked more and more as regional re-organisations are under taken. It will always be possible to merge data although there may be several ways to achieve this - we would be pleased to discuss how this can work with you.
Could we use Cyres to analyse other data?
Cyres solutions are built around sixW which is a query engine and report builder - in other words you can plug any data in to the back and produce just about any report out of the front. We are always helping people to do exactly this.
